For every Text Santa gift card that is sold, 2% of the amount of money loaded on to the card will be given to the ‘Text Santa’ appeal.
The ‘Text Santa’ appeal was set up in 2011 by ITV to support charities over the festive period, this year it will be supporting 6 UK charities.
It is publicised by a national television appeal that culminates in an ITV 1 show beginning on 21st December.
The ‘Text Santa’ appeal is supporting the following charities this year: Age UK, Anthony Nolan – Be a Match, Carers UK – The Voice of Carers, Marie Curie – Cancer Care, Together for Short Lives and Whizz Kids – Move a Life Forward.
With the economic pinch of recent years, charities are struggling more than ever. Being part of the ‘Text Santa’ appeal is an excellent way for them to generate extra money during the festive period.

The Text Santa Gift Card is yet another way the great British public can get behind the initiative and raise money for charity. Now you can do your Christmas shopping knowing that you’ll also be donating to charity at the same time.”
Co-presenter, Paddy McGuinness adds, “The Text Santa Christmas Gift Card is a great way to raise money for charity and do your Christmas shopping in one fell swoop. They are available in all Post Offices and can be spent in over 17,000 different retail outlets.”
