How To Transform Into A Beautiful Baddie This Spooky Season

Mirror, Mirror on The Wall, Who Is The Most Beautiful Movie Villain Of Them All?

Cate Blanchett, Angelina Jolie, Jennifer Lawrence and Charlize Theron have all lined up to play the parts of villainesses in some of Hollywood’s biggest blockbusters. And it’s not hard to see why. Turning to the dark side comes with a dramatic beauty look, a wardrobe that causes serious style envy and a role that often takes the spotlight away from the heroine.

Evil witches get a killer makeover – just look a Jolie when she transformed into the wicked, horned sorceress Maleficent with her snow-white skin and menacing, blood-red lip. Then there are the comic book baddies like Cate Blanchett, who became Marvel’s first female villain to appear on the big screen when she played Hela in Thor: Ragnarok, and Jennifer Lawrence, who dipped herself in blue body paint to play the fearsome Mystique in the X-men series.

If you’re looking for some bad girl Halloween inspiration, look no further than One4all’s round-up of the ultimate female villains.

• Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn in Suicide Squad

The ever-so-glamorous Margot Robbie underwent a huge comic book transformation to depict DC’s Harley Quinn, the frequent accomplice and lover of Batman’s archenemy The Joker, in David Ayer’s Suicide Squad.

Complete with pink-and-blue tipped platinum pigtails, an edgy wardrobe (which consisted of red and blue hot pants, a ripped t-shirt with the words ‘Daddy’s Little Monster’, and a satin jacket embellished with ‘Property of The Joker’), Harley’s weapon of choice – a baseball bat, and a beauty look that consisted of super white skin and deep red lipstick, Robbie looked like she jumped straight from the DC comic.

• Cate Blanchett as Hela in Thor: Ragnarok

There’s no role Cate Blanchett can’t master. She transformed into the goddess of death and evil big sister to the gods of thunder and mischief in Taika Waititi’s Thor: Ragnarok and was given a fearsome look to match the character’s menacing personality.

In a chic black leather outfit, complete with dark hair, nails and heavy eye makeup, Blanchett looked completely different from her usually blonde, polished self.

• Angelina Jolie as Maleficent in Maleficent

Angelina Jolie took on the role of Maleficent in Disney’s untold story of Sleeping Beauty’s evil queen and in doing so, became quite easily the most beautiful villainess ever created.

Jolie looked unrecognisable but strangely stunning in her transformation as the wicked witch which consisted of dramatic horns, deep red lip colour, piercing eyes and prosthetic enhancements that saw her cheekbones augmented into sharp ridges and ears given a pointy shape.

• Jennifer Lawrence as Mystique in the X-Men franchise

Jennifer Lawrence portrayed the shapeshifting mutant Mystique in the X-Men franchise and underwent a huge transformation to do so.

To recreate the character’s iconic blue skin and fierce yellow eyes, Lawrence spent 8 hours in the makeup chair being painted head-to-toe.

• Charlize Theron as Ravenna in Snow White and The Huntsman

Charlize Theron played the Evil Queen Ravenna in Snow White and The Huntsman, a wicked witch who retains her youth by sucking the souls from young subjects and eating bird hearts.

Even while reimagining the frightening and gruesome behaviour of this villain in the fairytale classic, she looks as beautiful as ever clad in floor-length gowns and rich jewels.

• Michelle Pfeiffer as Catwoman in Batman Returns

Michelle Pfeiffer transformed into one of the most legendary female characters in the comic book world when she played Selina Kyle (aka Catwoman) in Tim Burton’s Batman Returns.

To portray the caped crusader’s love interest, Pfeiffer donned a skin-tight catsuit and seductive beauty look which consisted of red lip and dark makeup.

• Uma Thurman – Batman & Robin

Uma Thurman played Poison Ivy in Batman & Robin (yes, the film in which George Clooney played Batman)and while the film was a disaster, Thurman’s transformation into the Gotham City botanist turned villain whose weapon of choice is a venomous kiss was not.
