According to Chinese astrology, 2016 is the Year of the Monkey; the ninth of the twelve animals in the recurring in a 12-year cycle. The Chinese New Year is celebrated by a staggering one fifth of the world’s population.

To commemorate the momentous occasion, we have created a brand new 'Year of the Monkey' gift card design for 2016. If you’re looking to treat family and friends, or perhaps a new arrival, at some point this year then this could be the perfect gift!

Those born in the year of the monkey are said to be energetic, innovative, curious and yes- a little bit cheeky!

If you've got a little one on the way, or if you were born in the years 1956, 1968, 1980, 1992 or 2004, you might recognise some of the aforementioned traits.

Each new year is associated with a zodiac animal, and the cycle alternates every 12 years. This means the next Year of the Monkey won’t be until 2028.
