The malls which will display the full range of card designs available in the One4all range as well as new variants of the product which will be released during the summer.
The rollout follows a very successful pilot of the concept during the Christmas period. The pilot ran in 25 Post Offices during November and December and delivered 225% sales uplift in those offices over the same period the previous year.
Commenting on the initiative Declan Byrne Managing Director, Gift Voucher Shop UK said “the pilot proved that display of the product in the Post Office retail area drives customer interaction with the cards and significantly higher sales levels. It is great news for the product and our retail partners who will see the benefit of it in higher redemption levels”.
Strategically the installation of the malls enables GVS and the Post Office to expand the One4all Gift Cards into new product variants which will focus on specific gifting occasions and specialised gift activities.
Michael Birchall is Prepaid Product Manager with the Post Office. He believes this development will build Post Offices capability in the prepaid gifting space and generally enhance the retail experience in a Post Office environment. “This network of Gift Card Malls in addition to the availability of the One4all product in our 11,500 Post Offices clearly positions Post Office strongly in this growing market”.
